Dinner at Kara's

Tonight Kara and her housemates welcomed us into their home with a delicious meal and stories about their travel experiences. We learned a little about each other and discussed what our presentation will entail.

Meeting at Tavern on Grand

Tonight we met with Bill Rust, a Rotarian that led a team to Peru last May. Bill told us some great stories about the experience. We learned a great deal and came away with some great insight and pointers for the trip, including to just "go with the flow" and "there's going to be hiccups. Lots of hiccups". We talked about travel insurance, uniforms, pins, gifts for our host families, and presentations. There's still so much we need to do, but we're definitely getting excited!

Meeting at the Green Mill in Hastings

Tonight was our first official meeting since we all discovered we will be taking on this adventure together! Shirley, Kara, Stephanie, Rachel, Jennifer, and I were all able to make it. We mostly talked about our backgrounds and why were interested in this experience. We learned that Jennifer is a very strong woman with a very interesting background and past, and all agreed on the ride home that we feel very lucky and safe to have her leading us!
